Heaven gained an angel, Veda Landrum Thibodeaux, 90, of China, on Sunday, September 28, 2014.  Born December 8, 1923, in Alto, Texas, she was the daughter of Roxie Robinson Landrum and Bob Landrum. 

Veda is survived by her daughter, Diane Belanger, her husband, Butch, of Groves; sons, Roy David Thibodeaux, his wife, Becky, and Robert Thibodeaux, all of Beaumont; and Jeffrey Thibodeaux, his wife, Kim, of Port Arthur; brother, Donald Landrum of Palestine; sister, Eva Nance of Alto; nine grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Leroy Thibodeaux.

A gathering of Mrs. Thibodeaux’s family and friends will be Tuesday evening, September 30, 2014, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont.  Her funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, October 1, 2014, at Broussard’s, followed by burial in China Cemetery, China.
