Thomas Randall Pickren 
October 6, 1945 - September 26, 2014

Thomas R. Pickren, 68, of Beaumont, died Friday, September 26, 2014, at Harbor Hospice, Beaumont.  He was born on October 6, 1945, in Dallas, to Sarah Evelyn Wrigge Pickren and Joseph Randall Pickren.

 

Thomas served as Engineering Project Manager with ExxonMobil for forty years. For fifty years, he served in Boy Scouts of America in many different roles, which lead to his receipt of the Silver Beaver Award.  He coached basketball, baseball, and mentored children through many other youth programs.

 

He is survived by his wife of forty-four years, Linda Pickren; and son, John Pickren, both of Beaumont; and mother, Sarah Pickren of Vidor.  He is preceded in death by his father.

 

A Rosary for Mr. Pickren will be recited at 5:00 p.m., with a gathering of his family and friends to follow until 7:00 p.m., Thursday, October 2, 2014, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Friday, October 3, 2014, at St. Jude Thaddeus Catholic Church, 6825 Gladys Avenue, Beaumont.  His committal was held at Broussard’s Crematorium, Beaumont.
