Kathy Wedgeworth, 54, of Vidor, died Sunday, September 21, 2014, at Cancer Treatment Centers of America in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was born on December 14, 1959, to Gloria Lejeune Boothe and James H. Boothe, in Beaumont. Kathy worked as a pharmacy tech at Brookshire Brothers in Vidor.

Survivors include her husband of thirty-seven years, Ralph Wedgeworth; son, James Wedgeworth and his wife, Lori, of Woodville; daughter, Stephanie Finley and her husband, Devon, of Vidor; mother, Gloria Boothe of Vidor; sisters, Cindy Schrader and her husband, Neil, of Vidor; Gwen Bagley and her husband, Dale, of Vidor; Robin Stinebrickner and her husband, Clem, of Beaumont; and Penny Sims and her husband, Eddie, of Vidor; grandchildren, Robert Turpin III, Haley Nelson, Joseph Wedgeworth, Hayden Nelson, and Allysun Finley; aunt, Sue Overstreet; and many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her father, James Boothe; and sister, Judy Boothe.

A Rosary for Mrs. Wedgeworth will be recited at 5:00 p.m. with a gathering to follow until 8:00 p.m., Thursday, September 25, 2014, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:00 p.m., Friday, September 26, 2014, at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 1600 North Main Street, Vidor. Her interment will follow at Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor.
