Mildred Marie “Millie” Stanley, 79, of Honey Island, died Wednesday, September 17, 2014.  She was born on January 7, 1935, in Marshall, Virginia.  Millie was a retired caregiver and longtime member of Big Thicket Baptist Church.

Survivors include her grandchildren, Tonia Parrish and her husband, Chris, of Honey Island; Jessie Wilburn and his wife Shannon, of Kountze; and Charles Michael Wilburn and his wife, Susan Garcia of Beaumont; twelve great-grandchildren; brother, Robert “Bob” Furr of Marshall, Virginia; and nephew, Robert Furr, Jr.

She is preceded in death by his parents.

A graveside service for Mrs. Stanley will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, September 20, 2014, at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, 4955 Pine Street, Beaumont, under the direction of Broussard’s, 530 West Monroe, Kountze.
