Cody William Ross, 22, of Port Neches, died Friday, September 12, 2014, in Galveston. He was born on May 5, 1992, in Lufkin, to Melinda Ross and Wesley Ross.

Cody was a 2010 graduate of Port Neches-Groves High School. He was also a 2013 graduate of Ocean Corporation and was a commercial diver for Diver Dan.

He is survived by his mother, Melinda Ross of Port Neches; father, Wesley Ross and his wife, Suzette, of Vidor; brother, Luke Ross of Lufkin; stepbrother, Bobby Nuncio; stepsister, Morgan Nuncio; uncles, Matt Cole and his wife, Stacey and Ronnie Ross and his wife, Jenny; cousins, Spencer and Alana Cole; and Cheyenne and Dalton Ross; numerous other family members and close friends.

Cody is preceded in death by his grandparents and an uncle.

A Rosary for Cody will be recited at 6:00 p.m., with a gathering of his family and friends to follow, Friday, September 19, 2014, at Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, September 20, 2014, at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church, 2006 Nall Street, Port Neches with a celebration of Cody’s life to follow at the Knights of Columbus Hall, 700 Central Drive, Port Neches. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Broussard’s.
