Lucille “Gran” Henslee, 70, of Beaumont, died September 4, 2014. She was born in Windfield, N.J. to William F. O’Grady and Madalyn Brubeck O’Grady. She had been a longtime resident of the Beaumont area. 

Lucille was always busy! She was either reinventing her house with décor or paint or working outside in her yard. Lucille spent many hours in her yard keeping her flowers and plants looking great with the help of her husband, Melvin. She lived for her children and grand-grandchildren. They were the light of her life!

Lucille is survived by her husband, Melvin Henslee of Beaumont; her three daughters, Shanna Rothkamm of Beaumont; Vickie Bottoms of Beaumont; and Libbie Dishman and her husband, Rodney Dishman, both of Beaumont; one brother, William F. O’Grady, Jr. and his wife, Lenora, of Mauriceville; two sisters, Rosie Newdoll and her husband, Robert, of San Luis Obisbo, California; and Eileen Ginther of Beaumont; eight grandchildren, Kohl Neel and his wife, Sarah, of China; Josey Dishman and his wife, Ashlyn, of Beaumont; Taylor Rothkamm of Beaumont; Lauren Bottoms of Houston; Grady Rothkamm of Beaumont; and Missy Bottoms; Cassidy Bottoms; and Logan Bottoms, all of Beaumont; and two great-grandchildren, William Loeb and Ireland Grace Hanna.

She is preceded in death by her father, William F. O’Grady and mother, Madalyn O’Grady; her brother, Joseph O’Grady; and sister, Kathleen Martin.

She will be greatly missed by all!

A memorial service for Mrs. Henslee will begin at 6:30 p.m., Wednesday, September 10, 2014, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. A family committal was held at Broussard’s Crematorium in Beaumont.
