Mary “Baby Doll” Pearl Stabbs, 78, of Winnie, died Tuesday, September 2, 2014, at The Arboretum Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Winnie. A lifelong resident of the area, she was born on March 12, 1936, to Josephine Boudreaux and Oran Smith.

Survivors include her sons, Michael Stabbs and his wife, Betty, of Groves and David Stabbs and his wife, Lynn of Winnie; daughter, Lisa McAvoy and husband, Rusty, of Winnie; grandchildren, Michael Wagstaff, Chris Wagstaff, Amanda McCarroll, and Haley Christ; and sisters, Gladys Bellon, Clara Davis, and Silvonia Dewees.

Preceded in death by her parents, husband, Gerald “Shorty” Floyd Stabbs; three brothers; and one sister.

A gathering of Mrs. Stabbs’ family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Thursday, September 4, 2014, at Broussard’s, 134 West Buccaneer, Winnie. Her funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m., Friday, September 5, 2014, at Broussard’s, with interment to follow at Fairview Cemetery, Winnie.
