Loretta Ann Aldrich 
August 8, 1934 - September 2, 2014

 

Loretta Aldrich, 80, of Nome, went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, September 2, 2014, at Baptist Hospitals of Southeast Texas.  Born August 8, 1934, in Nome, she was the daughter of Nell Chavers Garrett and Edgar Nathaniel Garrett.  Loretta spent her entire life in Nome and was a lifelong member of the First Baptist Church of Nome and taught the women’s Bible study class for many years.  She was a special, loving person, who devoted her life to her family.  She was especially proud of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

 

Those left to cherish her memory, include her husband of sixty-three years, Robert “R.C.” Aldrich of Nome; children, Robert W. Aldrich and his wife, Lisa of Nome; Clayton Aldrich and his wife, Quincy, of Fairfield; Melanie Holland and her husband, Mike of Nome; and Mark Aldrich and his wife, Karen, of Nome; grandchildren, Travis Aldrich, Courtney Aldrich, Shannon Heinen, Lisa Aldrich Guidry, Makenzie Aldrich, Brianna Kindle, Bethany Barnett, Brody Barnett, Lindsey Aldrich, Winston Aldrich, and Taylor Aldrich; and great-grandchildren, Claire Heinen, Drew Heinen, Lauren Heinen, Tanner Guidry, Jacie Crator, Ava Aldrich, Beau Barnett, and Carly Kindle.  Loretta was preceded in death by her parents and her son, Larry Aldrich.

 

A gathering of Mrs. Aldrich’s family and friends will be Friday evening, September 5, 2014, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., at Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin, Beaumont.  Her funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, September 6, 2014, at First Baptist Church Nome, 1985 Louisiana Street, Nome, followed by burial at Magnolia Cemetery in Beaumont.
