Charles Ray Thompson, 88, of Beaumont, died Thursday, August 28, 2014, at Harbor Hospice in Beaumont. A native and lifelong resident of this area, he was born on December 11, 1925, to Jessie Lee Powers and Abel Pearl Thompson.

Survivors include his children, Randall Thompson and his wife, Betty; Carlene Corbello; and Kyle Thompson; sisters, Dorothy Waller and Adelle Allen and her husband, J.D.; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Juanita Dale; two brothers, Vernon and Earl; and one sister, Ruth Johnson.

A gathering of Mr. Thompson’s family and friends will be from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Monday, September 1, 2014, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. His funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, September 2, 2014, at Broussard’s, with his interment to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Beaumont.
