Robert H. Wolff
July 16, 1944 - August 28, 2014

Robert H. Wolff, 70, of Beaumont, died Thursday, August 28, 2014, at Baptist Hospitals of Southeast Texas-Beaumont. A resident of the area, he was born in Beaumont on July 16, 1944, raised in the community and he dedicated himself to our country in the United States Navy serving three campaigns in Vietnam.

Born to a longtime Port of Beaumont employee father, Edmund Wolff, and legendary registered nurse mother, Lucille Thompson (Tommy) Wolff, he was raised in the rich history of Beaumont throughout its development during the 20th Century. His passions included history, nature and firearms. During his later years, very close friends accompanied him during hunting expeditions, travel throughout Texas and New Mexico, as well as regular coffee visits to his favorite restaurants.

His stubbornness in life prepared him for his battle with cancer. He fought a long hard war through several battles with Colon Cancer and attributed health challenges. His attitude was positive throughout the time. Even in his last week he enjoyed visits with his granddaughter. He will be missed.

Survivors include his children and their families: his son, Patrick Wolff and his wife, Myrna, and their son Julian; daughter, Rebecca Pearson her husband, Brandon, and their daughter Bridget; his youngest son, Brian and his wife, Melissa, and their children Weston, Rylee, Anna, Claire, and Mary; and his brother, Alvin Wolff.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

Mr. Wolff’s memorial service will be 2:00 p.m., Monday, September 1, 2014, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Broussard’s Crematorium.
