Larry Gene Jenkins, 63, of Silsbee, died Sunday, August 24, 2014.  He was born on November 17, 1950, in Silsbee, to Bobbie Jean Humble Jenkins and Harry Lee Jenkins.

Survivors include his wife, Paula Hooks Jenkins; children, Shane Jenkins and his wife, Jennifer; Amy Jenkins; Heath Jenkins; and Hyrum Jenkins, all of Silsbee; grandchildren, Colby Jenkins, Austin Jenkins, Dakota Jenkins, and Jermarous Jenkins; sisters, Lana Jenkins of Silsbee; Janet Bourlon of Nacogdoches; and Pam Adams and Nancy McDonald and her husband, Corky, all of Silsbee; brothers, Daniel Jenkins and his wife, Belinda, of Vidor; and Jerry Jenkins and his wife, Judy and Bobby Jenkins, all of Silsbee; and numerous nieces and nephews.  He is preceded in death by his parents; granddaughter, Presley Jenkins; brothers, Harry Dwain Jenkins and Terry Jenkins, Sr.; and sister, Barbara Jean Jenkins.

A gathering of Larry’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 26, 2014, at Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee.  His funeral service will be 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, August 27, 2014, at Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 8622 FM 418, Silsbee.
