Luella DeLaney O'Quinn 
February 8, 1931 - August 22, 2014

Luella DeLaney O’Quinn, 83, of Nome, died Friday, August 22, 2014, at Harbor Hospital of Southeast Texas in Beaumont. She was born on February 8, 1931, to Lelies Landry DeLaney and George DeLaney, in Port Neches.

 

Survivors include her daughter, Charlotte Arceneaux and her husband, Howard, of Nome; Cheryl Farrow and her husband, Louis, of Fairmont; Glenda Hodges and her husband, Glen, of Lumberton; Kay Hennigan and her husband, Joe, of Apple Springs; and Joan Welch and her husband, Tommy, of Hamshire; sons, Buddy O’Quinn and his wife, Becky, of Sour Lake and John O’Quinn and his wife, Susan, of Lumberton; brother, John Harold DeLaney of Guyser, Montana; sister, Stella Guillory and her husband, Frank, of Lumberton; seventeen grandchildren; twenty-six great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

 

She is preceded in death by her husband, W.T. O’Quinn; daughter, Donna Broussard; and grandson, Christopher Welch.

 

A Rosary for Mrs. O’Quinn will be recited at 5:00 p.m. with a gathering to follow on Monday, August 25, 2014, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 26, 2014, at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church, 245 Highway 90, China. Her interment will follow at Magnolia Cemetery in Beaumont.
