Mary Estelle Etie, 78, of Beaumont, died Wednesday, August 20, 2014. A native and lifelong resident of Beaumont, she was born on June 17, 1936, to Dora Price Luquette and Aurelian Joseph Luquette. Estelle worked for many years as a licensed beautician, and in the real estate industry as a Beaumont realtor, but first and foremost she was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother, jobs she truly cherished and embraced, and was remarkable at performing.

Survivors include her husband, Galen Etie; sons, Kyle Etie and his wife, Lainie, and their children, Peri and Colette; Craig Etie and his daughter, Kayleigh, all of Austin; Clint Etie and his children, Brittney, Galen, and Eric, all of Keller; and Daron Etie and his wife, Adrian, and their children, Scott, Eric, and Reid, all of Beaumont; daughter, Dayna Dyrhaug and her husband, Kurt, and their children, Carter and Chase, all of Beaumont; brother, Edward Luquette and his wife, Lillie, of Fannett; and sister, Loretta Andress of Spring.

A gathering of Mrs. Etie’s family and friends will begin at 4:00 p.m. with a Christian Vigil at 6:00 p.m., Sunday, August 24, 2014, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. Her funeral mass will be at 10:00 a.m., Monday, August 25, 2014, at St. Jude Thaddeus Catholic Church, 6825 Gladys Avenue, Beaumont, followed by a reception at the parish hall.
