Becky Tucker, 66, of Kountze, went to meet her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, August 19, 2014.  She was born in Memphis, Tennessee on November 15, 1947.

Becky was a guiding beacon for her husband and was very active in the lives of her children and grandchildren, serving as Girl Scout Troop leader and many PTA and church activities.  She also served on the Board of Directors of Scallon Controls and made numerous contributions to the business success of that company.  Becky loved God and all her family and looked for ways to serve both.

Survivors include her husband of forty-nine years, Jimmy Tucker; children, Kimberly Helen Tucker Cross and her husband, John, of Kountze and Karen Kay Tucker Bartlett and her husband, Daniel, of Port Neches; grandchildren, John Cross, Jr. of Lumberton, Elizabeth Rebecca Ann Cross of Kountze, and Mikaela Danielle Bartlett of Port Neches; siblings, Gene Childress of Memphis, Tennessee; Kay Vandevender and her husband, Steve, of Nashville, Tennessee; and Hugh Bishop and his wife, Paula, of Memphis, Tennessee.  Becky was especially close to her niece, Elizabeth McCarver of Olive Branch, Mississippi and nephew, David Childress and his wife, Cindy, of Kingwood.  She also left behind many friends as she enriched the life of everyone she touched.

A memorial service for Mrs. Tucker will be 3:00 p.m., Friday, August 22, 2014, at Broussard’s, 530 West Monroe, Kountze.  Her committal was held at Broussard’s Crematorium, Beaumont.
