Charles Everette Westmoreland, 82, died Tuesday, August 19, 2014, at Summer Place Nursing and Rehabilitation in Beaumont. A resident of Vidor, and lifelong of Beaumont, he was born on October 30, 1931, to Reba Undine Cox Westmoreland and Everette Sydney Westmoreland. Charles retired from the Department of Agriculture having worked for thirty years.

Survivors include his children, Gordon Westmoreland and his wife, Cheryl of Kingwood; Suzie Westmoreland of Beaumont; John Westmoreland and his wife, Audrey, of San Jose, California; Debbie Vickers and her husband, Don, of Katy; ten grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and sister, Nancy Gibson of Austin.

A gathering of Mr. Westmoreland’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Saturday, August 23, 2014, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. His funeral will be at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 24, 2014, at Broussard’s, with interment to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Beaumont.
