Benjamin Kerr Moore, 87, of Beaumont, died Friday, August 15, 2014, at Harbor Hospice in Beaumont. He was born on September 18, 1926, in Albemarle, North Carolina. Mr. Moore was a veteran of the United States Army Air Corp having served in World War II. He retired from Conoco as an aviation mechanic.

Survivors include his son, Berry Moore and his wife, Brenda; daughter, Brenda Hartman and her husband, Mike; grandchildren, Tami Catlett, Christine Burdloff, Brandon Hartman, and Mandi Michaelson; great-grandchildren, Cassidy Hyder, Jacob Hyder, Stephanie Burdloff, Grant Palmer, Samantha Palmer Thorpe, Caden Hartman, Ciana Hartman, Kaylee Michaelson, and Kara Michaelson; and one great-great-grandchild, Lillian Thorpe.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Peggy Moore; three brothers; and one sister.

A gathering of Mr. Moore’s family and friends will begin at 11:30 a.m. with his funeral service to follow at 12:30 p.m., Tuesday, August 19, 2014, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. His committal will be held at China Cemetery, China.
