Wallace Debes, Jr., 57, of Beaumont, died Tuesday, August 12, 2014, at his residence. He was born on January 27, 1957, to Betty and Wallace Debes, Sr., and had been a lifelong resident of the area.

Wallace attended Forest Park High School and played one of his all time favorite sports, football. After high school, he worked for his father at Debes Ice Company until his death.  Wallace will always be remembered as a great man and never forgotten.

He is survived by his daughter, Allison; stepson, Cade Colby; father, Wallace Debes, Sr.; mother, Betty Debes; sister, Joanie Herrmann;  brothers, Sam Debes and James Debes; god-daughter and niece, Misty; nephew, Jason; and god-son; Adam; and nephew, Sam III.

A gathering of Mr. Debes’ family and friends will begin at 5:00 p.m., with his Trisagion to follow at 6:00 p.m., Sunday, August 17, 2014, at St. Michael Antiochian Orthodox Christian Church, 690 North 15th Street, Beaumont.  His funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m., Monday, August 18, 2014, at St. Michael Orthodox Church. Interment will follow at St. Michael Orthodox Cemetery, Beaumont, under the direction of Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin Avenue, Beaumont.
