Jessie Mae Miller, 88, of the Woodlands, died Monday, August 11, 2014, at Silverado Senior Care, The Woodlands. She was born on October 5, 1925, in Esterwood, Louisiana, to Eudie Rougeau Webb.

In 1945, Jessie married Henry Marvin Miller. They lived in the South Park area of Beaumont for over thirty years before retiring to Kountze and were active members of First United Methodist Church of Kountze. After Henry died, Jessie lived with her daughters in Houston and Florida. In 2013, she became a resident of Silverado Care in The Woodlands, where she lived until her passing

Survivors include her daughters, Martha Lutz and her husband, Brian, of Huntsville and Sue Hebert and her husband, Ray, of Spring; grandsons, Jeffery Noble and his wife, Theresa, of Bellaire; Joshua Kolander of Beaumont; and Douglas Lutz and his wife, Shannon, of Houston; great-granddaughters, Madeline Mae Noble, Alexandria Lutz, and Ava Lutz; great-grandsons, Jett Suppatkul Noble, Ian Lutz, and Ethan Lutz; son-in-law, Raymond Leech and his wife, Ruthie, of Lake Wildwood, California; brothers, Jesse Walles and Donald Walles, both of Orangefield; and many beloved nieces, nephews, and friends

She is preceded in death by her mother; husband; daughter, Cynthia Louise Miller Leech; grand-daughter, Chera Lea Kolander Drake; great-grandson, Gabriel Drake; sister, Alpha Mae Deville; and brothers, Leroy Gentry and Raymond Gentry.

A gathering of Mrs. Miller’s family and friends will begin at 1:00 p.m., with her funeral service at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, August 14, 2014, at Broussard’s, 530 West Monroe, Kountze. Her interment will follow at Old Hardin Cemetery, Kountze.
