Betty L. Broadway, 82, of Nederland, died August 10, 2014, after a lengthy battle with lung cancer. She was born on June 1, 1932, in Nowata, Oklahoma, to Alta Ree and Jack McClendon. Betty retired after twenty years from Mid-Jefferson Hospital as a registered nurse.

Survivors include her daughters, Kathy Lewis of Rosebud and Faith Leger and her husband, Kerry, of San Augustine; grandchildren, Jason Lewis, Jessica Hart, Ben Broadway, Mason Broadway, Chelsea Broadway, Justin Landry, and Ross Landry; and great-grandchildren, Jordan Lewis, Julius Hart, Ethan Broadway, and Vance Broadway.

She is preceded in death by her husband, John Broadway; son, Stan Broadway; and son-in-law, James Lewis.

A gathering of Mrs. Broadway’s family and friends will be from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 12, 2014, at Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland. Her funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 13, 2014, at Broussard’s, with entombment to follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park, Port Neches.
