Marie E. Rouly, 85, of Port Acres, died Friday, August 7, 2014. She was born on May 19, 1929, in Abbeville, Louisiana, to Ozite Faulk and Lucas Desormeaux.

Marie retired from Walmart after twenty-six years as a clerk. She loved sewing and crocheting.

Survivors include her son, Mark Rouly and his wife, Lisa, of Port Acres; daughter, Anna Marie Smith and her husband, Jeff, of Bridge City; grandchildren, Casey Rouly and his wife, Sabrina, of Groves; Alex Rouly and Jesse Rouly, both of Port Acres; Jeffrey Smith and his wife, Maria, of Austin; and Anna Marie Meyers and her husband, Matthew, of Bridge City; great-grandchildren, Paige Meyers and Izabel Rouly; brother, Harris Paul Desormeaux and his wife, Leeida, of Port Acres; and sisters, Doris Robicheaux, of Port Acres; Mathilda Robicheaux and her husband, Jay, of Orangefield; Rosie Allemon and her husband, Johnny and Mary Ann Landry and her husband, Bernard, all of Abbeville, Louisiana.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Ophie Paul Rouly; and brothers, Martin Desormeaux and Dudley Desormeaux.

A Rosary for Mrs. Rouly will be recited at 1:30 p.m., followed by her funeral service at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, August 14, 2014, at Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland, with interment to follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park, Groves.
