John Thomas Reidy, Jr. 
October 2, 1933 - August 5, 2014

John Thomas Reidy, Jr., 80, of Beaumont, died Tuesday, August 5, 2014, at Harbor Hospice in Beaumont. He was born on October 2, 1933, to Josephine and John Thomas Reidy, Sr. Born in Beaumont, Jack attended St. Anne School, St. Anthony High School and Lamar Tech. He was in the Army and later in the Army Reserve. Jack retired after a longtime career as an advertising executive with Woodhead-Reidy Advertising and Coburn Supply.

 

Jack loved to dance, socialize with friends, and plant and raise vegetables in his backyard. He was famous for the jumbo tomatoes he raised. He also was an avid “Hook’em Horns” fan.

 

Survivors include his sister, Patricia Reidy Ford and her husband, Watt, of Beaumont and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.

 

He is preceded in death by his parents.

 

A family committal was held at Broussard’s Crematorium under the direction of Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont.

 

The family wishes to express their deepest gratitude to the caretakers at Harbor Hospice and Earth Angels for their dedication and kindness towards Jack while he was under their care.
