Joyce Lee Ford, 71, of Houston, formerly of Beaumont, died Friday, July 25, 2014, at Methodist Hospital, Houston. She was born on June 4, 1943, to Eloise Stubbs Lane and Lawrence Lane, in Springfield, Illinois. Joyce retired as a secretary for Crosby Valve in Houston.

Survivors include her husband, William Obie Ford; daughters, Kathleen Schmitt and Suzanne Miller, both of Sparta, Michigan; stepdaughters, Debbie Driver of Houston and Kimberly Ford of Spring; grandchildren, Joshua Miller of Houston; Amy Miller and Dustin Schmitt, both of Sparta, Michigan; and three great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents.

A gathering of Mrs. Ford’s family and friends will begin at 9:00 a.m., with her funeral service to follow at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, July 30, 2014, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, July 31, 2014, at Restland Memorial Gardens, 3307 Monroe Highway, Pineville, Louisiana.
