James Michael Albrecht 
January 11, 1950 - July 25, 2014

James Michael Albrecht, 64, of China, died Friday, July 25, 2014. He was born on January 11, 1950, to Lou Pike Albrecht and Ernest Albrecht, in Liberty, Texas. James worked as a senior operator at Valero Refinery. He was an avid sportsman and enjoyed fishing and hunting. James coached baseball, loved the game of golf, and gardening, but most of all, he loved spending time with his grandchildren. His outgoing personality made him known and loved by everyone.

 

Survivors include his wife, Carol Joy Albrecht; sons, Jeremy Michael Albrecht and his wife, Stacie and Joey Daniel Albrecht, both of Lumberton; stepdaughters, Laura Leigh Clifton and Anna Rebecca Clifton, both of China; grandchildren, Aspen, Slade, Gavin, Riley, and Aubree; sisters, Patti Albrecht of Houston; Sandy Hirt and her husband, Lothar, of Magnolia; and Peggy Wright of Austin; family friend, Linda McWilliams of Port Neches; his only niece, Kelsey Lee McLean and her husband, Bubba, and their children, Brynnlee Skylar, Asia, and Ashton, of Austin; and aunt, Sharron Loomis and her husband, Bill, and their children, Jeff and Cindy and families.

 

He is preceded in death by his parents.

 

A gathering of Mr. Albrecht’s family and friends will be from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Monday, July 28, 2014, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. A family committal will be held at Broussard’s Crematorium in Beaumont.
