Shawna Laurene Myers Rosco, 48, of Meeker, died Monday, July 14, 2014. She was born on September 16, 1965, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, to JoAnn Audilet Myers and J.D. Myers. Shawna lived most of her life in the Beaumont area before moving to Meeker in 1988. She attended Beaumont schools and graduated from Hardin-Jefferson High School, Sour Lake. Shawna later attended Lamar University.

She is survived by her husband, Steven M. Rosco; sons, Joseph D. Rosco and Michael D. Rosco; mother, JoAnn Audilet Mendoza; and brother, Danny Myers.

Shawn is preceded in death by her father, J.D. Myers; stepfather, Butch Mendoza; and grandparents, Ottie and Jack Audilet.

She loved her family, animals, and taking care of her flowers. Shawna enjoyed cooking for her family and friends. She was a loving and understanding wife and she was a kind and loving mother to her sons and also a mother figure to many of her son’s friends.

A gathering of Mrs. Rosco’s family and friends will be from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friday, July 18, 2014, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. Her funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, July 19, 2014, at Broussard’s, with interment to follow at China Cemetery, China.
