Ruth Ann Barranco 
November 29, 1919 - July 12, 2014

   

Ruth Barranco, 94, of Beaumont died Saturday, July 12, 2014, at Harbor Hospice in Beaumont.  Born November 29, 1919 in Abingdon, Virginia, she was the daughter of Hatty and Walter Yeatts, and had been a resident of Beaumont since 1946. Ruth was a secretary at Langley Field in Virginia and was an avid bowler for over forty-six years.

 

She is survived by her husband of sixty-nine years, Vincent Joseph Barranco of Beaumont;  sister, Jual Wagner of Baltimore; and numerous nieces and nephews.  Ruth was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Katherine Estep, Margaret Cregar, and Mary Garnet Hagy; and brothers, James Stuart Yeatts, Robert Lee Yeatts, Albert Grant Yeatts, and Henry Willard Yeatts.

 

A gathering of Mrs. Barranco's family and friends will be Tuesday evening, July 15, 2014, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., with a Christian Vigil at 6:00 p.m., at Broussard's, 2000 McFaddin, Beaumont.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, July 16, 2014, at St. Anne Catholic Church, 2715 Calder, Beaumont, followed by burial at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Beaumont.

 

The family would like to extend special thanks to the nurses at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital and Harbor Hospice and to her long term doctor, Mark Toups.
