Patsy Hood LeGrande, 82, of Beaumont, went to meet her Lord Sunday, July 6, 2014, at Baptist Hospitals of Southeast Texas, Beaumont. She was born on January 22, 1932, in Port Arthur, to Agnes Patin Hood and Elwood Hood, and had been a lifelong resident of the area. Patsy was the matriarch of her family. She was a proud wife, mother, grandmother, and fisherman. Patsy was also known as “Gooney” to almost everyone, especially her family. She was also a Realtor, proudly still holding her license and not retiring.

Patsy is survived by her husband of sixty-three years, Donald LeGrande; son, Mark E. LeGrande and his wife, Terry, of Beaumont; daughter, Lisa Kay LeGrande of Beaumont; granddaughters, Katie LeGrande and Kelli LeGrande; and sister, Bobbye Hood of Fort Worth.

She is preceded in death by her parents; and brothers, Dr. E.M. Hood, Jr. and George Melvin Hood.

A gathering of Mrs. LeGrande’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 8, 2014, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. Her funeral service will be 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, July 9, 2014, at Broussard’s, with interment follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Beaumont.
