William "Bill" Little IV 
April 6, 1957 - July 3, 2014

William “Bill” Little IV, 57, of Port Arthur, died Thursday, July 3, 2014, at Harbor Hospice, Beaumont. He was born on April 6, 1957, in El Reno, Oklahoma, to Vivian Bromley Little Jones and William James Little III, and had been a long time resident of the area. Bill was a United States Air Force veteran and he most recently worked for Jefferson County as a Probation Officer. He had also worked for Nederland Police Department, Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department, Gulf Security, Chevron Security, and had been a Corrections Officer and a Parole Officer for Jefferson County.

 

Bill held several black belts in different styles of martial arts. He was a Shodan in Aikido, 4th Degree black belt in Jiu Jitsu, black belt in Judo, and a Shodan in Karate. Bill competed in a pistol shooting contest in the 1980’s. He also loved to fish and read.

 

Bill is survived by his wife, Sherry Little of Port Arthur; sons, William “Billy” James Little V and his wife, Ashley, of Beaumont and Christopher Jason Little and his wife, Lauren, of Vidor; cousins, Gary Bromley of Zavalla, Deloris Anne Scank of Port Neches, Linda Jean Chelik of Hemphill, Sharon Sue Gilkerson of Buna; and aunts, Nancy Leck of Oklahoma and Doris Wiess of Hemphill

 

He is preceded in death by his parents.

 

A gathering of Mr. Little’s family and friends will be from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Sunday, July 6, 2014, at Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland. His funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Monday, July 7, 2014, at Broussard’s, with interment to follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park, Port Neches.
