C.A. Skipper, Jr., 88, of Beaumont, died Monday, June 30, 2014, at Harbor Hospice, Beaumont. He was born on December 8, 1925, to Sally Fitts Skipper and C.A. Skipper, Sr., in San Augustine. C.A. was a United States Navy veteran having served in World War II.

Survivors include his wife, Evelyn D. Skipper; daughter, Kimberly Kaye Soza of Sugarland; and grandchildren, Sophia and Isabella, all of Sugarland; and sisters, Sue Sorenson of Houston and Lou Barbee of Victoria.

He is preceded in death by his father and mother who raised him, Laura Skipper; two sisters, Catherine Cates and Elizabeth Nerren; and two brothers, Kenneth Skipper and Charles Skipper.

A gathering of Mr. Skipper’s family and friends will begin at 12:00 p.m. with his funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 2, 2014, at Christian Fellowship Worship Center, 3950 Pointe Parkway, Beaumont. His entombment will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park, Port Neches, under the direction of Broussard’s 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont.
