Darla D. Menchaca, 61, of Nederland, died Sunday, June 29, 2014, at the Methodist Hospital, Houston.

She was born on April 10, 1953, in Beaumont, to Joan Raylene Cudd Ivy and Rayford Dale Ivy. Darla enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, and camping. She loved visiting with family and friends.

Survivors include her husband of thirty-four years, Richard Menchaca of Nederland; son, Ryan Menchaca and his wife, Marleis, of Fannett; granddaughters, Rylee Menchaca and Kinsey Bass; mother, Joan Ivy of Nederland; brother, Jeff Ivy of Nederland; sister, Madeline Bulleit of Atlanta, Georgia; her loving and faithful dog, Dee Dee; and numerous other relatives and friends. She is preceded in by her father, Dale Ivy; and sister, Amanda Ivy.

A gathering of Mrs. Menchaca’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 2, 2014, at Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland. Her funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Thursday, July 3, 2014, at Broussard’s, with interment to follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park, Port Neches.
