Travis Joe Moss, 38, of Kountze, died Wednesday, June 25, 2014, at Christus Hospital St. Elizabeth, Beaumont.  A native and lifelong resident of Kountze, he was born on November 13, 1975, to Dannie Faye Huggins Moss and Henry Joe Moss.  Travis was a school teacher in both Woodville and Lumberton Independent School Districts and a longtime member of Kountze Church of Christ.

Survivors include his mother, Dannie Faye Huggins Moss of Kountze; father, Henry Joe Moss of Evadale; sister, Shawn Gunter and her husband, Paul; nephews, Collin Gunter and his wife, Jessica and Logan Gunter; niece, Kami Hilger and her husband, Andrew, all of Lumberton; great-niece, Mia Gunter; great-nephews, Lance Hilger and Bentley McRoberts; aunts and uncles, Barbara and Fred Johnson and Linda and Charles Huggins; and numerous cousins and close friends.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, John Travis Huggins and Dona Stutts Huggins.

A gathering of Mr. Moss’ family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Friday, June 27, 2014, at Broussard’s, 530 West Monroe, Kountze.  His funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, June 28, 2014, at Broussard’s, with interment to follow at Holland Cemetery, Kountze.
