Humverto Jose Brown, 69, of Kountze, died Sunday, June 15, 2014, at Christus Hospital St. Elizabeth of  Beaumont, Texas.  He was born on March 26, 1945, to Katarina Martinez. Humverto was a United States Army veteran and was employed with Exxon Mobil as a laboratory supervisor.

Survivors include his sister, Emily Walston and her husband, Mitchell of Kountze; and brothers, Larry Lee Johnson of Kountze and Lloyd Lynn Johnson of Silsbee.

He was preceded in death by his mother and stepfather, Willie Gordon Johnson.

Mr. Brown’s committal was held at Broussard’s Crematorium, Beaumont, under the direction of Broussard’s, 530 West Monroe, Kountze.
