Beverly J. Odom, 77, of Lumberton, died Thursday, June 12, 2014, at Baptist Hospitals of Southeast Texas, Beaumont.  She was born on February 21, 1937, in Concord, New Hampshire. Her parents were Alice Viola Sweetland Yeo and Wellington Loraway Yeo, and she had been a resident of Lumberton since 1974.  Beverly was a retired custodian with Lumberton High School.

Survivors include her children, James R. Odom, Jr. and his wife, Suzanne, of Kountze; Donna McDonald and her husband, David, of Colorado; and Nancy Miles and her husband, Jeff, of Newton; grandchildren, Heidi Odom, Aaron Odom, Tanner Odom, Tessa Ewing, Brent Die, Tamra Beard, Josh Miles, and Meghan Smith; great-grandchildren, Kyra Odom, Sommer Garriputo, Jimmy Beard, Taylor Beard, Justin Miles, Jacelyne Sherman, Natalie Smith, and Dawson Smith; and sister, Linda Baker of Mesquite.

She is preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Dennis Yeo.

A memorial service for Ms. Odom will be 10:00 a.m., Friday, June 20, 2014, at Broussard’s, 530 West Monroe, Kountze. Her committal was held at Broussard’s Crematorium, Beaumont.
