Alma Berwick, 93, of Beaumont, died Thursday, June 5, 2014, at Summer Place Nursing and Rehabilitation in Beaumont. She was born on November 2, 1920, in San Augustine. Alma was a member of league bowling and tennis and was an avid gardener. She attended church at the Alpha Omega class at First United Methodist Church in Beaumont. Alma was sharing, loving, and caring person.

Survivors include her children, Glenn DeBartolo and Jackie Diane Marsh and her husband, William, both of Beaumont; step-children, Jerry Berwick and his wife, Jennifer, of Port Neches and Jane Minjares of Groves; step-grandchildren, Devin Berwick, Dillon Berwick, and Bobbee Minjares; sister-in-law, Lucy Blackstock; and brother-in-law, Barry Kunz.

She is preceded in death by her husbands, Jack DeBartolo and Chester Berwick and six sisters.

A gathering of Mrs. Berwick’s family and friends will be from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Sunday, June 8, 2014, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. Her funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m., Monday, June 9, 2014, at Broussard’s, with her interment to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Beaumont.
