E. "Dink" T. Hamman 
October 14, 1919 - June 3, 2014

E. T. “Dink” Hamman, 94, of Sour Lake, died Tuesday, June 3, 2014, at his residence.  Born October 14, 1919, in Jamestown, Texas, he was the son of Jewel Pearl Oliver Hamman and Cloud Evan Hamman.  Mr. Hamman was a United States Army Veteran and was a maintenance supervisor with Gulf Oil Corporation.

 

He is survived by his daughters, Ruth Young and her husband, David, of Kountze and Ann Carpenter and her husband, John, of Sour Lake; grandchildren, Tiffany Kite of Mont Belvieu, Amber Tortorice and her husband, Jake III, of Sour Lake; Tyson Young and his wife Amie, of Lumberton; Hunter Carpenter and his wife, Stormie, of Sour Lake; and Travis Carpenter and his wife, Kayden, of Sour Lake; and great grandchildren, Kyle and Kourtlynne Kite, Ryan and Taylor Young, Gianna Tortorice, and Cooper Carpenter.  He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Jimmie Ruth Wilson Hamman.

 

A gathering of family and friends for Mr. Hamman will be Thursday evening, June 5, 2014, from 5:30 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., with a prayer service at 6:30 p.m., at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont.  His graveside service will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, June 6, 2014, at Jamestown Cemetery in Jamestown Community, outside of Mineola.
