Janice Crawford, 72, of Nederland, died Saturday, May 31, 2014, at Gulf Coast Health Center, Port Arthur. She was born on December 28, 1941, in Port Arthur, to Velma Breaux Rouly and Francis P. Rouly, and had been a long time resident of the area. Janice was a Lay Dominican and a longtime member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church.

Janice is survived by her children, David Crawford; Jack Crawford and his wife, Jennifer; and Robin Domingue and her husband, Freddy, all of Nederland; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; sisters, Sherry Broughton and her husband, Jim, of Conroe; Sheila Barton of Port Arthur; and Lynette Landry and her husband, David, of Mexico; especially missed by her faithful dog, Honey.

She is preceded in death by her husband of fifty-four years, Lowell “Bud” Crawford; daughter, Roxanne Stansbury; grandson, Christopher Cady; parents; and brothers, Arlen Rouly and Marcy Rouly.

A gathering of Mrs. Crawford’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., with her Rosary recited at 6:00 p.m., Monday, June 2, 2014, at Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland. Her funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, June 3, 2014, at Broussard’s, with interment to follow at Memory Gardens of Jefferson County, Nederland.
