Douglas Wade Reeves, 60, of Silsbee, died Saturday, May 24, 2014, at Baptist Hospitals of Southeast Texas, Beaumont. He was born on May 26, 1953, in Silsbee, to Nannie Evelyn Clifton Reeves and Richard Reeves, and had been a resident of Silsbee for twenty years.

Survivors include his sister, Joy Mason of Silsbee; brothers, Dennie Paul Reeves and his wife, Patricia, of Orange and William David Reeves and his wife, Ethel May, of Silsbee; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Richard Dwayne “Dickie” Reeves.

A gathering of Mr. Reeves’ family and friends will begin at 10:00 a.m., with his funeral service to follow at 3:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 27, 2014, at Abundant Life Church, 191 East Avenue N (Highway 327), Silsbee. Interment will follow at Resthaven Cemetery, Silsbee, under the direction of Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee.
