Betty Marie Wagstaff Stroud, 86, of Beaumont, died Sunday, May 25, 2014. She was born on December 29, 1927, to Olive Clifford Wagstaff and Frank Werth Wagstaff, in Galveston.

Survivors include her son, Dennis L. Stroud and Lloyd Blanton of Beaumont; daughter, Judy Smith of Virginia; grandchildren, Dawn Stroud Clary and her husband, Shawn; Patricia Williams and her husband, Jeff; Donald Stroud; and Ronald Stroud; and great-grandchildren, Dalton Logan Clary, Tia Alexandria Nicholson, Mikayla Williams, and Ashley Stroud.

She is preceded in death by her parents; and husband of sixty-six years, Marvin Stroud, Sr.

A family committal was held at Broussard’s Crematorium under the direction of Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont.

The family would like to thank all the staff at Compassion Hospice for their love and care throughout the years. Also, they extend a special thank you to her nurse, Sam.
