Virginia “Ginny” Ross, 88, of Beaumont, died Friday, May 23, 2014, at The Clairmont, in Beaumont. A native of Olcott, West Virginia, she was born on May 8, 1926, to Ruth Clendenin Williams and Ernest Earl Williams.

She will be remembered as an excellent cook, who enjoyed traveling with her husband, and as a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

Survivors include her sons, Bob Ross Jr. and his wife, Judy, of Midland; John Price Ross of Beaumont; and Matthew Edward Ross of Nederland; daughters, Julana Phenix and her husband, Ken, of Sour Lake; and Laura Price and her husband, Lee, of Katy; fifteen grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; sisters, Peachie Beaver of June Lake, California; Jo Westfall and her husband, Ronnie, of Charlotte, North Carolina; and Phyllis Safreed and her husband, Chip, of St. Albans, West Virginia; and brother, Bill Williams and his wife, Rosemary of  Florida. She will be missed by her faithful four-legged companion, Valkyrie.

She is preceded in death by her husband of forty-eight years, Bob Ross, Sr.; one brother; four sisters; and granddaughter, Sandra Sembrano.

A graveside service for Mrs. Ross will be at 2:00 p.m., Monday, May 26, 2014, at Rosedale Cemetery, in Sour Lake, under the direction of Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin Avenue, Beaumont.
