Wallace "Wally" Roger Neumann 
March 9, 1927 - May 19, 2014

Wallace “Wally” Roger Neumann, 87, of Wildwood, died Monday, May 19, 2014.  He was born on March 9, 1927, in Wolcottville, Indiana, to Doris Steere Neumann and Howard Neumann.  Mr. Neumann proudly served his country in the United States Army during World War II.  He retired from Lockheed-Martin at NASA as an electrical engineer and he had worked on the space station and the space shuttle, and balloon research project.  His career also included his work on the Strategic Air Command in Massachusetts

 

Survivors include his wife of sixty-three years, Katie Neumann; sons, Barry Neumann and his wife, Andrea, of Humble, and Brian Neumann and his wife, Tammy, of Wildwood; grandchild, Kimberly Neumann of Wildwood; and brother, James Neumann of Wolcottville, Indiana.  He is preceded in death by his parents.

 

A gathering of Mr. Neumann’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 21, 2014, at Broussard’s, 530 West Monroe, Kountze.  His funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Thursday, May 22, 2014, at Wildwood-Village Mills United Methodist Church, 5943 FM 3063, Village Mills, with interment to follow at Village Mills Cemetery, Village Mills.
