Linda Lorraine Laird Smith, 68, of Kountze, died Friday, May 16, 2014, at Silsbee Oaks Healthcare, Silsbee. She was born on November 28, 1945, in Silsbee, to Martha Lorraine Bass Laird and William Amos Laird, and was a longtime resident of Kountze.  Linda was a private duty Licensed Vocational Nurse.

Survivors include her husband, Bill Smith; children, Tabitha Pritchett and her husband, Greg and Bubba Smith, all of Kountze and Robert Smith and his wife, Elsa, of Houston; grandchildren, Elisha James and her husband, Jessie, of Cuero; Wesley Smith of Louisiana; Megan Hargraves of Kountze; Collin Smith; Christian Long; and Daniel Smith and Larissa Smith, both of Houston; great- grandchildren, Jayden James and Skylar James, both of Cuero and Sabrina Smith of Louisiana; sisters, Sandra Mills and Wilma Taylor, both of Silsbee; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Charles Laird.

A gathering of Mrs. Smith’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Sunday, May 18, 2014, at Broussard’s, 530 West Monroe, Kountze.  Her funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Monday, May 19, 2014, at Broussard’s, with interment to follow at Magnolia Springs, Kirbyville.
