William “Bill” Drennen Chandler, 71, of Fannett died Tuesday, May 13, 2014.  He was born October 14, 1942, in Del Rio, Texas to Elnora Peeks and George Elvin Chandler. Bill had been a resident of the Fannett area since 1971.

Mr. Chandler is survived by his wife, Marilyn Berniece Chandler, of Fannett; sons, Jeffrey Chandler of Brazoria; William Russell Chandler of Bridge City; and Thomas Chandler of  Pflugerville, Texas; daughter, Carol Ann Hasselbalch and her husband, Mike, of Fannett; grandchildren, Chandler Hudspeth; Ian, Andrew and Oliver Hasselbalch; sisters, Betty Jo Collins and her husband, James “J.R. Richard Collins.

A gathering of Mr. Chandler’s family and friends will be from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm, Thursday, May 15, 2014, at Broussard’s, 134 West Buccaneer Drive, Winnie. His funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Friday, May 16, 2014 at First Baptist Church, 25304 Highway 124, Hamshire, with interment to follow at Fairview Cemetery, Winnie.
