Delores “Dodie” Culpepper, 68, of Beaumont, died Tuesday, May 13, 2014, at Harbor Hospice in Beaumont.  Born November 29, 1945, in Vidor, she was the daughter of Vena Victor Walker and John Oswald Walker.

Survivors include her daughter, Pamela Hancock Wallace and her husband, Michael, of Beaumont; sons, Daniel Eric Hancock and Tom Hancock, both of Beaumont; stepchildren, Ricki Nicole Culpepper and Billy Culpepper; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; sister, Geraldine Walker Horn and her husband, Larry, of Pagosa Springs, Colorado; and brothers, James “Jimmy” Walker and his wife, Micci, of Beaumont; Ottie Walker and his wife, Pam, of Nederland; and Mack Walker and his wife, Valerie, of Beaumont.  Delores was preceded in death by her brothers, Harold Walker of Beaumont, Gordan Walker of Lumberton and William Roberts of Vidor; and sister, Patricia Ann McIntyre of Lumberton.

She is preceded in death by her first husband and the father of her children, Cecil Earl Hancock; and second husband, James “Ricky” Culpepper.

A gathering of Mrs. Culpepper’s family and friends will begin at 12:00 p.m., with her funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m., on Friday, May 16, 2014, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont.  Cremation will be held at Broussard’s Crematorium.
