June Rose Persohn, 81, of Beaumont, died Sunday, May 11, 2014. A native and lifelong resident of Beaumont, she was born on September 30, 1932, to Agnes Sonnenberg Preshaw and Otho Preshaw. June retired from Sears Service Center. She graduated in 1950 from French High School and continued friendships with many of her classmates. June enjoyed her monthly girlfriend lunches and playing Bunco. June (known as MawMaw to many) loved her grandkids and spending time with her grand dogs, Camo and Chief. Survivors include her daughter, Patty Spitzer and her husband, Corbin; son, Joe Persohn and his wife, Lenita; grandchildren, Connor Spitzer and his wife, Jess; Lexy Spitzer Bumpass and her husband, Alan; Joseph Persohn; Joshua Persohn; and Jason Persohn; and niece, June Rose Dubois. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, J.B. Persohn, Jr.; sister, Ollie Harrison; and brother, Jack Preshaw. A gathering of Mrs. Persohn’s family and friends will be from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 13, 2014, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. Her funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, May 14, 2014, at Wesley United Methodist Church, 3810 North Major Drive, Beaumont, with interment to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Beaumont. |
