Bryan Chenault 
March 13, 1943 - May 7, 2014

Edward Bryan Chenault, a proud and lifelong resident of Beaumont, Texas, died on May 7, 2014. He was born on March 13, 1943, to Thomas Graydon and Ima Louise Chenault. A 1961 graduate of Beaumont High, Bryan served six years in the Air Force Reserve before graduating from Lamar State College in 1969.

 

He was an intrepid businessman with a variety of talents and interests. Starting as a crop-duster, he was the owner/operator/chief in charge of several area gas stations, an oil and tire company and finally, a pipeline patrol company.

 

A true sportsman, he loved to fish and hunt. He was a farmer, master falconer, horseman, apiarist, and friend to beagles, English setters, pointers and poodles.

 

He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Carol (Anderson) Chenault, son, Gray Chenault; daughter, Michelle Cox and her husband, Ryan; four grandchildren, Caitie and Dean Chenault and Anderson and Fifi Cox. He is also survived by his brother, Bruce Chenault; two nephews, Ben Chenault and his wife, Kendra; Tom Chenault; and a niece, Claire Chenault.

 

He is preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Katherine Claire; and granddaughter, Madeline Rose Cox.

 

A memorial service for Mr. Chenault will be held at 4:00 p.m. Monday, May 12, 2014, at St. Mark's Episcopal Church, 680 Calder, Beaumont, under the direction of Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont.
