Glenn Borel, 64, of Corpus Christi, formerly of Port Acres, died Thursday, April 24, 2014. He was born on December 20, 1949, in Port Arthur, to Hazel Chellette and Louis Borel. Glenn grew up in Port Acres and had lived the last six years in Corpus Christi. He was a Fireman with the Port Arthur Fire Department for several years before he became a carpenter.

Glenn is survived by his daughters, Amy Martinez and her husband, John; and Holly Bashard and her husband, Kevin; grandchildren, Elizabeth, Lauren, Madeline, Hannah, and Bryce; friend and mother of his children, Sue Ann Rogas; sisters, Barbara Mayfield, Nancy Borel, and Evelyn Porter; and brothers, Leo G. Borel and Leon Borel.

He is preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Margie Laufenberg and Sherry Hebert; and brothers, Louis Borel and Joseph Borel.

A gathering of Mr. Borel’s family and friends will be from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m., Sunday, April 27, 2014, at Broussard’s, 505 12th Street, Nederland. His committal was held at Broussard’s Crematorium, Beaumont.
