Robert “Bobby” Earl Avery, Jr., 57, of Lumberton, died Monday, April 21, 2014. He was born on May 2, 1956, to Mary Lou Ann Veillon and Robert Earl Avery, Sr., in Port Acres. Bobby worked as a refit mechanic for Gerdau.

Survivors include his wife, Theresa Avery; daughter, Amy Wilken and her husband, Thomas; brothers, John Avery and Randy Avery; sister, Ramona Avery; grandchildren, Bailey Wilken and Kasen Wilken; and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, Donald Avery.

A memorial service for Mr. Avery will be at 6:00 p.m., Thursday, April 24, 2014, at Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee. A family committal was held at Broussard’s Crematorium, Beaumont.
