Gloria Faye Johnston, 67, of Cleveland, died Saturday, April 12, 2014. She was born on May 2, 1946, to Audrey Emmanuel Walters and Buster Walters, in Kountze. Gloria worked as a caregiver for Texas Home Health.

Survivors include her children, Lydia Ann Smith of Rye; Angele Renee LaSalle and her husband, Bryan, of Winnie; Tina Pippin and her husband, Kenneth, of Cleveland; and Ernest Johnston Rye and his wife, Christina; sister, Sylvia Miller and her husband, Lee, of Silsbee; brother, Ronnie Wayne Walters of Honey Island; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Johnston, Sr.; two sisters; and three brothers.

A gathering of Mrs. Johnston’s family and friends will begin at 10:00 a.m., at Broussard’s, 530 West Monroe, Kountze, with her graveside service to follow at 2:00 p.m., at Village Mills Cemetery, Village Mills, on Tuesday, April 15, 2014.
