Sharon Elizabeth Bennett Sirmons, 65, of Spurger, died Wednesday, April 9, 2014.  She was born on March 27, 1949, in Oak Grove, Louisiana, to Lena Steverson Thomas and Claude Eugene Thomas.

Survivors include her husband, Cliff Sirmons; children, Sherry Landry and her husband, Mark; Bill Bennett and his wife, Joni; and Chris Bennett, all of Silsbee; Cliff Sirmons, Jr. of Livingston; Mark Sirmons and his wife, Wilma, of Jasper; Krysti Griffin and her husband, Doug, of Livingston; Kevin Sirmons and his wife, Trina, of Woodville; Joshua Sirmons of Conroe; Weston Sirmons of League City; and Julianna Mitchell and her husband, Wayne; grandchildren, Jessica Landry, Logan Landry, Benjamin Landry, Jamie Clements, Julie Bennett, Caleb Bennett, Jack Bennett, Roman Bennett, Pheobe Bennett, Katie Ebarb, and Christy Boutin; great-grandchildren, Aislynn, Cade, Keeton, Kenzie, Sydney, and Keegan; mother, Lena Mae Thomas, of Kountze; and sister, Retha Smith and her husband, Hershel, of Wildwood.  She is preceded in death by her father; first husband, Jessie Leon Bennett; brother, John Wesley “Buddy” Thomas; and grandchild, Joseph Mitchell.

A gathering of Mrs. Sirmons’ family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Friday, April 11, 2014, at First Pentecostal Church, 1403 North 5th Street, Silsbee.  Her funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, April 12, 2014, at the church, with interment to follow at Old Hardin Cemetery, Kountze.
