Hattie Jewel 82, of China, was born on April 10, 1931, to Viola Fortenberry and Reverend Craig Fortenberry, in Woodville. She retired as owner of Hattie’s Flowers and Gifts in Vidor. Hattie was an Eastern Star member and longtime member of First Baptist Church of China. She was a very loving mother and grandmother.

Hattie is preceded in death by the love of her life and previous owner of West End Lumber Company of Orange, Emmett Breazeale.

A gathering of Mrs. Breazeale’s family and friends will be from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m., Sunday, April 6, 2014, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. Her graveside service will be 10:00 a.m., Monday, April 7, 2014, at Campground Cemetery, Highway 256, Woodville. Serving as pallbearers will be her boys, Jesse, Blaze, and David Roberts and Josh, Jeremy, and Chad Tubbs, all of China.
