Patricia Nugent, 74, of Nederland, died Wednesday, April 2, 2014. She was born September 17, 1939, to Margaret and Aubrey Cheatham in Beaumont, and had been a lifelong resident of the area.

Patricia is survived by her husband, Mayor R.A. Dick Nugent of Nederland; sons, Ricky Nugent of Burleson and Scott Nugent and his wife, Melanie, of San Antonio; daughter, Kelli Nugent of San Antonio; eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild; brother, Aubrey Cheatham and his wife, Marina, of New Braunfels; and sisters, Mary Lou Deitrick  of Houston and Margaret Anne  Houser of San Antonio.

She is preceded in death by her parents; and sister, Katy.

A Rosary for Mrs. Nugent will begin at 5:00 p.m., with a gathering of her family and friends to follow, Friday, April 4, 2014, at Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, April 5, 2014, at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 211 Hardy Avenue, Nederland, with interment to follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park, Port Neches.
